So..It's May and I have the Spring Cleaning Fever. The problem is, I need some help organizing. Who can give me some tips for the garage, kitchen, master bed, and laundry room? What do you guys do to keep those rooms nice and tidy?
I always have spring cleaning fever, ha! And even worse now because William just got another MRSA staph infection, grrrrr. Don't we just wish we had an "easy" button sometimes, ha!
when you get it figured out, just make sure stuff gets put BACK where you organized it to be. Ha! I hate that part...putting it where it belongs. LOL!
Um....First, get rid of everything that hasn't been used in the last year. Obviously you have to be smart about seasonal items...but if it doesn't fit, or doesn't work it has to go, too. (that my rule...but do what works for you). I had a pile of pants that either needed mended or thrown out or cut up for a quilt...Afeter a good six months, I patched them all...Put a time limit on yourself...one room by ____ or one closet by ____ or set a timer to get it done.
We like totes. WE have to many totes....so make a limit then have a hay day!!!
Good luck!
ohhhh....I say you do before and after pictures. :) Motivation for the rest of us. :)
It's always a constant battle to keep everything clean and organized, especially with kids. I'm a fan of getting enough shelves, tupperware, etc. to give everything a place. Make sure it will be easy to put things away. For the kitchen I recommend those lazy susan rotating racks so you don't have to reach in the back of cupboards or the pantry. You can also get racks to organize lids and things. Just take one area at a time. Eventually you get it all-hopefully!
Hey we're the Crandalls. Wes and I were married in December of 2007 and we have loved every minute of married life. We definitely agree that being with your best friend all of the time is what it's all about. We welcomed baby Cache to our family at the beginning of August 2009. He is a busy two and half-year-old with the world to explore. He brings us so much joy. In December of 2011, we welcomed our next adventure and beautiful blessing, Grace, to our family! What a wonderful life.
