NICU Carnival

This last week we went to a "NICU Graduation Party". I wasn't expecting it to be on the grand scale that it was on. I wasn't expecting to have the emotions that I had when we pulled up in the truck and saw the many nurses and doctors. And the NICU kids. The kids who had survived their own personal trials and hardships. I was surrounded by miracles. Tiny and big, old and brand new. There were so many miracles. They fought to be here to make the world a better place. I know my Gracie already is.

For The Seminary Graduates in our Stake...

I just wanted to share this with y'all because the quote is something {I personally think} young people heading out in the world need to read every day. We are losing some pretty choice guys and gals from the 18-25 age range...But that's for another post. :) I made this for our young women to take with them to college.
Love ya!

Top 10 Things I forgot About Newborns

10-The mountain of diapers I have all over the house.
9-The laundry increasing by seven loads a day.
8-The amazement at how much they sleep {even though no one else does...}.
7-The tiny size of their socks!
6-How much they grunt, squak, and squiggle.
5-They cross their eyes. A lot!
4-Diapers! Out the ears....
3-How truly exhasuted you always are.
2-They're so snuggly!
1-That your heart was not prepared to love someone this much.

We Are Home!

What a beautiful Day! Gracie was able to come home a week before her original due date!

We are so proud of her. She took to oral feedings so well and that is why we are home and safe. Now we just have a couple of months of seclusion at home and then hopefully she can start meeting everyone who has given her so many wonderful gifts, served her (and us), and prayed for her!

Truly, we could not have gotten through this long stay without you all and your support. Thank you for your kind words, texts, messages, gifts, dinners, babysitting, love. We are so blessed by you. Love you all!

Keri our wonderful Nurse (I've even texted her at home people! She's great!).

A few more of our awesome nurses who cared for Grace (Lindsey did her pic line, Melissa never forgot her bows... :) )

Jenny-a wonderful Nurse Practitioner who followed Grace for the two months.

TOO TINY! hahaaha

Grace is Growing....

Our little Gracie is growing so much! Every day we are amazed at how she is changing and becoming bigger and better! She is now off of the intense breathing CPAP machine and she is on a regular nasal cannula (which means she is breathing room air, she just needs some pressure in her nose/throat to remind her to breathe!).

She is such an angel. She is awake more and more during the day and night. She wiggles her little arms and legs and looks around with her gorgeous big eyes. She loves her daddy and pops wide awake when she hears his voice. She loves to snuggle and cuddle while she eats or just while she sleeps. This week she has started orally feedings and she has taken to it like a fish in the water! We are thrilled because this is just one step closer to getting her home!

What an angel. We love her so much and we are so proud of her.

Precious face!

Chillin' out after eating. Look at that cute outfit! {Thanks Justina!}

SHE LOVES HER BINKIE!
