A Little Help

Hello!

Now that we know we are going to be having a precious little girl, I need some help! We are stuck on names! :) We are having a hard time coming up with ideas! Seriously! I want something classic but fresh. For example: we love the name Grace (Gracie), but that one has been a little trendy lately. You know what I mean? I am open for any suggestions. I don't want to steal names, I just need some help! Sound off!

Some of my favorites are... Mila (my-la), Ellie (El for short), and Quinlee. Good luck! I think girl names are harder than boys.

How about going through some geneology? I have a cousin that just named her son after a pioneer ancestor, Reddic (for a boy, of course). The name is both awesome and carries some meaning.

I love perusing the social security baby names lists. They have the top 1000 nationally and the 100 for each state. Being a Jennifer (it was the number one girls name for fifteen year and my year was right in the middle), I know about not wanting anything too popular. It's fun to get name ideas and see how common they have been over the past 100 years. There are so many beautiful girl names!

Gracie is such a cute name.

Oh man, I have a list of lots of names like that, but I can't think of them now. Of course. I'll keep thinking.

I'm so excited for you!

I know of an unusual name; Micheline (Michelene) pronounced Mish-a-lene. Nicknames Missy, Mitch, Micky etc. Nawww.. don't torture the child with my name. LOL

Congrats on a baby girl! I like the name Grace.
